The word responsibility has been overtaken by a range of words that seem to be more acceptable through suggesting images of fun.
Financial responsibility seems hard, yet financial fitness seems fun!
Responsibility seems more grounded in those that go to war, dealing with the heavy duty of protecting our nation and yet in the day to day, we are responsible for every decision we make and accountable to firstly ourselves.
It can be easy to neglect the responsibility of focusing on our goals with the mirage or list of seemingly endless daily tasks and yet, each one of us makes the decision to focus on particular areas of our lives and allocate the time to that task.
The battle is to put aside the right amount of time for each of our responsibilities to ensure that we are fulfilling our own sense of joy to ensure fulfilment.
There may be responsibilities that we don’t enjoy, but without focus on these we can’t truly be in balance. You may be responsible for others in your household, yet you are also responsible for yourself.
A focus on each area of our life will bring a calmness to the mind and I encourage you to write the list of your more important priorities.
What would you be disappointed about if you didn’t do and you dropped off now?
What are the responsibilities you don’t enjoy and how can you schedule time to deal with these or get support to keep the scales balanced?
Don’t shove your responsibilities under the carpet, let’s work on them together so you can face them head on and say ‘I’ve got this’.
